BLACK HISTORY MONTH THROWBACK SPOTLIGHT: The Diva of Divas, Mariah Carey
Can her voice REALLY make glass break?
For our second day of Black History Month, we pay tribute to the woman who can hit notes so high, it’s been rumored she can make glass break: MARIAH CAREY.
And while we’ve never actually CONFIRMED she’s been able to pull that off, she WAS able to “make a wine bottle open” with her voice a few years back in 2019.
From her early days with songs like “Someday” and “Make It Happen,” through “Hero” and “Dreamlover,” well into her comeback with “We Belong Together,” Mariah has been a constant presence in the ’90s and into the 2000s. (And that’s not even counting “All I Want For Christmas Is You!”)
Thank you, Mariah, for being a huge part of our life; we salute YOU today!
