Don’t look now, but Elton John is BACK… big time.

The "Lockdown" album has Elton back FRONT AND CENTER.

When you’re a 70-something icon in the middle of what is (likely) your final world tour and it all comes to a screaming halt because of a pandemic, what do you do?

Well, you could just throw in the towel and say, “thanks, it’s been fun.”

But that mantra, of course, is not how Elton John rolls.  Elton hit the studio harder than ever before, remixing and resampling some of his classics into new anthems for new generations.

The final product, “The Lockdown Sessions” album, fully debuts this Friday, October 22nd with features from Dua Lipa, Charlie Puth, Miley Cyrus, Eddie Vedder, Stevie Wonder, and more.

The single getting the most attention thus far is “Cold Heart” with Elton and Dua, which features not ONE, but two of Elton’s classics… first, “Sacrifice” from the ’90s…

…and “Rocket Man” from Elton’s early years, this time sung by Dua.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND… here’s your final output.  A familiar hook, dance-y, iconic, yet contemporary.

We can’t wait to hear the rest of the album on Friday, so keep listening to Throwback Nation Radio for more samples of the new Elton John “Lockdown Sessions,” and more of your favorite Throwbacks from Elton too!
