#1 “Strike It Up” by Black Box

This song by Italian group Black Box just makes you want to get moving, right? It was released in 1991 and climbed to No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. This one was no doubt played before many a high school basketball game!

#2 “Jump Around” by House of Pain

This hip-hop anthem came out in 1992, and it’s probably best known for the high-pitched squeal that runs repeatedly throughout the track. 66 times, we’re told!

#1 “Pump Up The Jam” by Technotronic

This song was released in 1989 and was a hit around the world. The music video, however, does not feature the actual vocalist from the song. It was decided to use a Congolese model named Felly Kilingi to lip-synch the lyrics, instead of the actual vocalist Ya Kid K.
