LOVE TRAX: Why Your Kids Are Listening To This ’80s Love Song

Once in a while, we’re surprised when we hear our kids playing one of our favorite Throwback songs… such is the case with today’s THROWBACK LOVE TRAX! 

Eric Carmen’s “Make Me Lose Control” reached No. 3 on the Billboard chart in 1988.

The song had a bit of a resurgence last year when it was included on the soundtrack for the film “Deadpool & Wolverine.”

Check your kid’s playlist – this song might be on it!

Interestingly enough, this song was not on any of Eric Carmen’s studio albums. Instead, it was on his greatest hits releases!

The official music video may look familiar, too! It recreates the scene in the film “American Graffiti” where the blond in the white T-Bird tells the guy “I love you.”

Carmen died at age 74 almost one year ago, on March 11, 2024.
