#3 “One Sweet Day” by Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men

This song came out in 1995 and spent 16 weeks at No. 1, a record for the next 23 years! The song was inspired by sufferers of the AIDS epidemic. The song was also performed at Princess Diana’s memorial service in 1997.

#2 “Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough” by Patty Smyth ft. Don Henley

Smyth co-wrote this rock ballad with Glen Burtnik of Styx. The lyrics are heartwrenching.

But there’s a danger in lovin’ somebody too muchAnd it’s sad when you know it’s your heart you can’t trustThere’s a reason why people don’t stay where they areBaby, sometimes love just ain’t enough

#1 “All My Life” by K-Ci & JoJo

Brothers Cedric and Joe Hailey brought us this hit R&B song, which stayed at No. 1 for three weeks in 1998. JoJo wrote the song, initially using his daughter as inspiration.

Cause all my life, I prayed for someone like you
And I hope that you feel the same way too
And I hope that you do love me too
