BLACK HISTORY MONTH: February 22, 2023 – Can we get Stevie Wonder ONE MORE nomination?
He probably already has a record - he's close to something so special!
There’s no doubt Stevie Wonder has had a storied career, starting as a tween in the early 60s, with songs in the “Sing” soundtrack as recent as 2016-17.
And, it’s not just Stevie’s list of RELEASES that are impressive; he’s been nominated for a Grammy award in each of those decades; the 1960s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, and the 10s as well. The string started with his iconic “Uptight (Everything’s Alright),” a nominee in 1967, with the most recent in 2010 for his single “All About The Love Again.” That single was a part of Barack Obama’s historic Presidential Inauguration in 2009.
So – can we find a way to get Stevie to release something this decade? One more nomination too? To have someone nominated for a Grammy award in seven decades would be so rare – and so special – and if it’s anyone that should be nominated, it’s Stevie.
So Stevie, work on that new release – we’re down for it!
