The song was in the movie “Robin Hood” starring Kevin Costner. It was the No. 1 pop song for 1991, according to Billboard. It spent seven weeks at No. 1. It won a Grammy for Best Song Written Specifically for a Motion Picture or Television, it was nominated for Record of the Year at the Grammys, and also nominated for Best Original Song at the Academy Awards.

And it has a permanent spot on the playlists for wedding receptions! It’s been a popular choice for the couple’s “first dance,” because it’s soft, slow, and emotional.
