Our Throwback Games continue with the best Marathon Songs of the ’80s!

The marathon is the only road-running event held at the Summer Games. The 26.2-mile course requires endurance, perseverance, and grit.

#1 “We Are The World” by U.S.A. for Africa

This song, recorded in 1985, was 6 minutes, 22 seconds when it played on radio stations around the world. On the album, it clocked 7 minutes, 2 seconds. But what else would you expect with 45 of the top musicians in America participating?
