Boxing is an Olympic sport… and so we’re featuring the best Fight Songs!

They’re the songs with a heck of a ‘hook’ and deliver a strong punch!

#3 “Can’t Fight This Feeling” by REO Speedwagon

Our Bronze medal winner has the word “fight” right in the title! While this 1984 power ballad may not evoke thoughts of actual boxing, it does deliver a swift jab to the heart when it comes to love!

#2 “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party)” by Beastie Boys

This one also has the word “fight” right in the title, but it’s decidedly more upbeat and perhaps better for the boxing ring! It’s a mix of hip-hop, rap, and rock, and the video features a massive pie fight!

#1 “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor

Our Gold medal winner was written specifically for the boxing movie “Rocky III!” Sylvester Stallone asked Survivor to write the song, after Queen wouldn’t let him use “Another One Bites the Dust” for the film. The result was an iconic song that won the Grammy for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group.
