#3 “Blister in the Sun” by Violet Femmes

This 2 minute, 27 second song was originally released in 1983. It got a second chance in 1997 when it was included in the film “Grosse Point Blank.”

#2 “La Bamba” by Los Lobos

Los Lobos released this song in 1987 and it was included in the film “La Bamba” about Ritchie Valens, who died in a plane crash in 1959. The music video featured Lou Diamond Phillips, who played Valens in the movie.

#1 “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” by Green Day

This song is one of Green Day’s most popular songs, running right around 2 minutes, 30 seconds. It’s a staple of many high school proms and graduations, and was featured in the second-to-last episode of “Seinfeld” in 1998.
