Tiffany Recording Retro Rock Versions of Her Hit Songs
The 1980s pop princess Tiffany is working on a new greatest hits album – with a twist!
She told People Magazine that she is rerecording and reimagining some of her favorite songs, hits like “I Think We’re Alone Now,” “Could’ve Been,” and “I Saw Him Standing There.”
“The ’80s version of me, I was a little bit of a different person than I am now. I still love a lot of the same things, I still love a lot of the same songs. But I have a different take on them. They mean something different to me. I’ve lived through some of those lyrics I used to sing but didn’t know anything about. I was just singing a song,” Tiffany said.
Tiffany was 14 in 1987 when she released “I Think We’re Alone Now” and performed in malls around the country.
She is now almost 53 and says she’s ready to give her songs a different vibe – a kind of rock retro vibe!
“I want people to listen to it and go, ‘Totally the song I love, but now I’m wearing it as a new person, as an older person,'”she said.
We’ll let you know when the greatest hits album goes on sale!
