Dawson’s Creek sounds RIGHT again on Netflix

The ORIGINAL theme song is BACK!

If you, like me (not afraid to admit it), loved the high school drama of Dawson, Pacey, Jen, Joey, Jack, Andie, and the rest… you’ve noticed that watching it on Netflix sounds… well… WRONG.

That’s because the original theme song, “I Don’t Want To Wait” by Paula Cole had to be replaced with “Run Like Mad” by Jann Arden because of licensing issues.

And we’re not one to rag on a great song like Jann’s, but it’s kind of like watching the opening to The Golden Girls without “Thank You For Being A Friend” playing.

Thankfully, Netflix and Paula’s team have come to an agreement to re-license “I Don’t Want To Wait” as the theme to the show, not just on broadcast and cable TV, but for STREAMING too.

And, suddenly, life feels RIGHT again on the Creek.

<exhales longingly like Dawson>

Expect to hear the ORIGINAL version back in streams later this summer.
